As part of its ninth international Start-up Challenge, Formnext has recognized up-and-coming enterprises from the world of Additive Manufacturing for their innovative business ideas and technical developments. The award-winning innovations showcase the broad applications of Additive Manufacturing and range from medical applications to material recycling of titanium, analysis software, and new 3D Printing technologies targeting the automotive, electronics, dental, and engineering industries, among others. SPS 2023: Exhibition space expanded to 16 halls

Around 1,300 exhibitors are expected to attend the 32nd edition of the trade fair SPS – Smart Production Solutions – in Nuremberg from November 14 to 16, 2023. The current exhibitor booking figures indicate a significant growth of the exhibition compared to last year's event and thus a development towards the pre-Corona level. For this reason, the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt is expanding the exhibition space by two additional exhibition halls.

The international winners, who will all present themselves to the AM world at Formnext 2022, are Photosynthetic (Netherlands), Lattice Medical (France), Rivelin Robotics (UK), SphereCube (Italy) and Alpha Powders (Poland). The AM Ventures Impact Award also went to Lattice Medical.

The Formnext Start-up Challenge as springboard for creative, innovative, and sustainable AM business ideas

Every year, a host of new companies emerge in the additive manufacturing industry. To give these start-ups a voice among the more established players, Formnext is this year organizing the 8th Formnext Start-up Challenge. In addition to new, creative, and viable business ideas, the subject of sustainability also plays an important role. A young company will therefore also be selected from the applicants to receive the AM Impact Ventures Award. Applications are now being invited from companies that are no more than five years old. The deadline for applications is 1 July 2022 and the winners will be announced in September 2022.
