“The PCIM Europe digital days”: Program and registration online

This year, the “PCIM Europe digital days” will be taking place as a virtual event from 7 – 8 July 2020. As ever, the event will cover innovations and developments in the field of power electronics. Participants can learn more about the latest trends in power electronics with the high-caliber lecture program online. For participants, a total of more than 250 video-on-demand presentations and interactive live discussions will be available free of charge. They can also inform themselves about product innovations from more than 50 participating companies.

This year, the PCIM Europe will be the digital meeting point for power electronics experts. The virtual event offers suppliers and users the opportunity to expand their knowledge and professional network over two days. The lecture program consists of short technical presentations in the form of video-on-demand presentations, followed by live discussions.

Over two days, the online conference program features numerous outstanding short presentations from international experts from industry and academia and deals with key development trends in power electronics.

Attendees should not miss the unique chance to join three excellent keynotes, these including Robert Plikat, Head of Subdepartment Power Electronics, Volkswagen, Germany presents “Trends in Automotive Power Electronics Discussed at Audi's first full Electric Drive Train”. In addition, attendees can look forward to two more keynote presentations on “Battery Energy Storage Systems: Past, Present and Future” by Ahmed Elasser from the GE Global Research Center in the USA and “Innovative Data Center Power Solutions” by Roland Hümpfner from Huawei Technologies in Germany.

The conference proceedings with all contributions for the PCIM Europe 2020 can be ordered online from mid-June.

On the agenda of the Industry Forum are research and development topics such as "EV/HEV Cost vs. Performance Trade off: A Battle on Multiple Fronts for Power Electronics" (Yole Développement), ”Parallel Operation of 3L NPC Power Modules“ (Semikron Elektronik)” and ”New Lifetime Prediction for SiC based on Power Cycling Tests“ (Danfoss Silicon Power). The virtual E-Mobility Forum offers exclusive insights into the latest product innovations in the field of power electronics for electric mobility.

The whole program is interactive and offers features such as the opportunity to ask questions, take part in voting or joining live discussions via video chat. During the entire event, participants can also contact each other via the matchmaking function of the Talque digital event tool. This is possible both for participants with each other and with speakers and representatives of participating companies.

Taking part in the “PCIM Europe digital days” 2020 is free of charge for users; companies can participate in the event in the form of a digital exhibitor profile, through sponsoring or by providing a presentation on-demand. More than 50 companies have already confirmed their participation in the “PCIM Europe digital days”, including industry leaders such as Infineon, Rohm Semiconductor, Mitsubishi Electric, Varta and Wolfspeed.
